WHO WE ARE

Going Beyond Limitations Foundation was created to empower our black males 15-21 to help change the narrative of how black males are portrayed in our society.

We want to help our black males including (underserved and at-risk) to realize that they have the ability to be successful and that no matter the condition they are born into they can change it – through self-development.

The future well-being of our country depends on our youth and that means we have to adequately prepare them to take the roles that they will be fulfilling later in their lives.

Our long-term goal to empower our young men to lead a life that influence those who are coming behind them positively and simultaneously let them know that on the journey possibilities are endless.

MEET THE PRESIDENT & CEO

“The lives we positively impact will be among those who positively impact the lives of others tomorrow.”- Richard A Cross, PRESIDENT & CEO

Richard A. Cross is currently a professor, an empowerment speaker, coach and the founder of Dress Like A Sucess and Going Beyond Limitations Foundations. It didn’t look all that great when he started out. As a young man starting, he didn’t know that he would reach where he is on his journey today. He had very little, and sleeping on old clothes instead of a mattress was his bed. Also, he was often told he wouldn’t make it in life.

However, he soon proved the critics wrong in earlier years by becoming an athlete, a police officer and a restorative justice facilitator. Amidst the challenges he faced, his desire is to help and teach people how to overcome adversity in order to achieve what they once deemed impossible.

Richard’s mission is to help others to recognize their potential and to empower them to go beyond their limitations to achieve their dreams.
